So you have just finished patching and now you’re ready to create a character! Well the
first step to that is to choose your sex, followed by your race. Both, males and females
perform exactly the same in EverQuest 2.
When it comes to choosing your race however, they are not the same. First you need to
make one of two choices: Would you rather have the best stats possible for your
race/class combination, or would you rather have a strange class combination that you
would enjoy playing more (a gnome monk for example).
You should also know that stats don’t play a huge role in your character at this time;
having 5 or even 10 less wisdom then the best priests out there isn’t going to spell doom
for your priest. Will it make a difference? Yes. A large one? No.

Frogloks are a server wide unlock-able race; at launch they are not available for play.
Also, some races are inherently evil, and as such they cannot start in Qeynos. Light
races (good) cannot start in Freeport. So choose wisely!
Now that you have made up your mind on what race you want to be, you need to choose
a city. I would strongly suggest Qeynos if you are able to do so. Why? Because the
outlying zones are easier to access and are all around better zones. If you start in
Freeport that’s ok, just be prepared to do some running around.
So now that I have listed stats I will tell you what they do, here is the breakdown:
Strength This affects the amount of damage melee classes such as scouts
and warriors do. It also determines how much weight you can carry.
Agility This stat determines how well you dodge magical and physical
attacks. This is the most important stat for classes like monks and
bruisers.
Stamina Stamina affects how many hit points you have and your hit point
regeneration. This is the most important stat for Guardians,
berserkers, paladins and shadow knights.
Intelligence Intelligence determines how much power and power regeneration
mages get.
Wisdom Wisdom directly contributes to how much power and power
regeneration priest classes such as clerics/druids and shamans get.
